
The CILS examination is a verification of Italian as a foreign language. The examination is divided into 4 levels (level one, level two, level three, level four).
Each level consists of 5 verbal or written tests:
Each session of examination has different tests in order to point out the linguistic and communicative skill of the student.
The examinations are held twice a year (June and December) at CILS Center (University for Foreigners) in Siena and in Florence. The written and listening examinations are done in a group. Oral examinations are done on an individual basis (the oral test is recorded).
The valuation of the examination takes place in Siena in the CILS Center of the University for Foreigners .
The candidate must receive 55 out of 100 points to pass. This can be comprised of any combination so long as as 11 of 20 points is received in all areas.
If a pass is not received in all areas the candidate may retake those areas in the following examination(paying only for those examinations required).
The CILS Certification allows to study and work to take place in many Italian Universities and Public Institutions.
Our Language Center organizes specific courses with qualified instructors specializing in preparing students for the CILS examination
Students may join our courses at anytime throughout the year.
Our Center will assist the student in enrolling (the students should enroll at least one month before the examination dates).
