senior courses

These courses are specifically created for people over 50 who want to study the Italian language and learn more about Italian and Florentine culture in all its aspects. Language classes take place in the morning, from 9.00 till 13.00. The activities and the excursions are in the afternoon.

Program 1: 2-week course

(40 hours of Italian language in group plus activities in group in the afternoon)

  • starting dates: 31.03.08 / 12.05.08 / 09.06.08 / 15.09.08 / 13.10.08 / 10.11.08
  • duration: 2 weeks
  • lessons: 4 hours a day in group in the morning
  • schedule: from Monday to Friday, 20 lessons a week (one lesson: 55 minutes)
  • activities: in group in the afternoon
  • class size: maximum 10 students
  • prices: € 650,00

Activities in the afternoon:

  • 1 tour in the centre of Florence (1 hour and an half)
  • 1 visit to San Miniato and piazzale Michelangelo (2 hours)
  • 1 cooking course and dinner in the teacher's house (3 hours)
  • 1 practical lesson of ceramic or drawing or painting in a workshop (2 hours)
  • 1 wine tasting at school with a somelier (1 hour and a half) 
  • 1 lesson about Italian cinema or opera (1 hour and a half)
  • 1 Saturday to San Gimignano, or Siena, or Pisa, or Lucca, or ...

In addition, free access to the activities that the school offers every month to all students

  • duration: 2 weeks
  • lessons: 4 hours a day in group in the morning
  • schedule: from Monday to Friday, 20 lessons a week (one lesson: 55 minutes)
  • activities: individual in the afternoon
  • class size: maximum 10 students
  • prices: € 1.100,00

Activities in the afternoon:
